Are you using a brand that doesn’t look stunning as a way to hide your true genius?
I know that this sounds kind of silly, but there are lots of small businesses out there using brands that don’t reflect them.
Maybe you spent “all that money” on a brand that was never right from the start, yet you use it because you’re afraid to waste resources.
Maybe your brand was just fine at the start, but now your business has really changed on the inside and your brand just doesn’t show it.
Maybe your brand was okay to get your business off the ground, but now you want to grow it – and your revenues – up, but it’s holding you back.
In any case, your brand could be a poorly fitting mess. If you see this and are ready to fix it, that’s great! Get on the phone with your friendly brand designer (like me!) and get the branding party started.
But if you’re using that messy brand to hide behind, then we have a bigger problem. If you think that the fact that your brand doesn’t look like you is okay, it could be a sign that you’re not really showing up in the world.
In order to gore a successful business, you have to show up and get known. You want to make a fabulous first impression, make sure that your materials cut through the visual clutter out there, and become unforgettable.
You can’t do that with a schlumpy, old brand. Unless it helps you become unforgettable for all the wrong reasons – and you certainly don’t want that.
Ask yourself this question: Why are you hiding in a blah brand? What fears do you have around becoming known, getting the word out about your business, or even experiencing glowing success in your business?
